Get away? There are two Sewing Retreats per year. One in Winter Park in late summer and one in Westminster in the Winter.
Attend a National Conference annually in July or August somewhere in the USA. This year we are going to Los Angeles, CA, and the following year the conference will be held in Houston, TX.
There are two publications. "Notions" is a quarterly publication from the National Headquarters and the "Thread Affair" is a bimonthly local chapter newsletter.
You don't have to be an expert to join. You will always find a helping hand. The people who are in the American Sewing Guild are interested in sewing, quilting, beading, felting, and all other fiber
art forms.
